Even young athletes can experience pain during sport activities. When it comes to sports injuries, Dr. Wolf is able to fix many of these conditions using arthroscopy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat joint problems. During the procedure a tiny camera called an arthroscope is inserted into the joint to identify damages or abnormalities of sports injuries. Arthroscopy can be used to treat a variety of conditions:
- Torn ligaments: Repair or reconstruction of torn ligaments like the ACL or PCL
- Meniscus tears: Removal or repair of torn cartilage in the knee
- Rotator cuff injuries: Repair of torn tendons in the shoulder
- Labral tears: Repair of cartilage in the hip or shoulder joint
